What exactly does CloudArray deliver?
CloudArray provides an economical and highly reliable storage tier to Windows Server 2008 systems. This storage tier has the same characteristics as local SAN storage to include performance and security. CloudArray seamlessly integrates as a virtual appliance in Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V and requires no separate server or hypervisor footprint. Once configured, Windows Server 2008 volumes from CloudArray are stored directly to one or more cloud storage providers, with local speed performance via intelligent caching policies
Data Availability and Security
For increased data protection, CloudArray offers a fully-cached volume policy that replicates data from local storage to a variety of third party storage cloud providers to ensure high data availability both on and off site. CloudArray also enables replication between service providers. CloudArray optionally compresses and encrypts data prior to transporting it to cloud storage to ensure data security and privacy. CloudArray leverages the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), adopted by the U.S. government and also used to secure top secret information.
