Store, Replicate and Archive Data to Cloud Storage

Cloud Storage, Storing More with Less

In today's global market, companies need IT infrastructures that are dynamic and can respond quickly to changing business needs. They also need infrastructures to scale with business requirements. However, the cost and process to expand and maintain IT infrastructure continue to soar with business growth. Storage is one of the most dynamic components of IT – constantly changing and securing one of the most valuable assets of a company: its data.

Leading edge companies are now turning to Cloud storage for help in this area. Cloud storage reduces the amount of on-premise infrastructure needed to accommodate growth, thereby reducing necessary capital for expansion, and lessens the process to provision storage and protect data thus reducing operational costs.

CloudArray Software

CloudArray software enables businesses to seamlessly integrate in-house applications to Cloud storage without any changes to applications or programming to Cloud storage APIs. CloudArray supports applications running on both physical and virtual servers and supports both private and public cloud storage.

Disk-to-Cloud Storage Overview

CloudArray is packaged in several configurations to accommodate customer needs and requirements. CloudArray is available in a Virtual Appliance supporting VMware ESX/ESXi and Citrix XenServer platforms. It is also available in a Physical Appliance for customers that want a dedicated physical server to run CloudArray.

Seamless Integration with Applications

CloudArray is a standalone software product that serves as a secure interface between server-based applications and Cloud storage. On the server end, it presents iSCSI block storage to applications in the form of data volumes. CloudArray volumes have user-defined policies for caching and replication. On the Cloud storage end, CloudArray interfaces with both private and public Cloud storage APIs. No programming is required to store and retrieve data to and from Cloud storage.

Cloud Storage Volumes, Replicated and Fast

CloudArray volume policies for caching and replication allow data to be cached locally for quick access and replicated to Cloud storage for high availability. CloudArray also offers data snapshot services for point-in-time copies for rollback, test and development, data analytics and for other applications.

Volumes can be configured to be partially cached or up to 100% cached, depending upon the application. The latter option allows for consistent copies of volumes in two separate locations; local to your datacenter and in the Cloud (private or public).

Data Security and Privacy for Public Cloud Storage

CloudArray is ideal for storing and retrieving data in Public Clouds. CloudArray provides the ability to encrypt data prior to transporting it to public Cloud storage providers to ensure data security and privacy. CloudArray leverages the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), adopted by the U.S. government and also used to secure top secret information.
