And it’s just outstanding. And you’re here, which means you want to learn what to do after installing WordPress, right?

So After Installing Fresh WordPress on your Domain name, a lot of things need to be done.

So let’s see what they are.

So What To Do After Installing WordPress?

After installing a fresh WordPress on your domain name, some basic WordPress settings need to be done.

So here are some basic WordPress settings you need to do after installing WordPress on your website.

When you install a fresh WordPress on your website, the permalink is default set to plain.

Which looks something like this:

https://yourwebsite.com/?p=123

So as you can see that the Permalink doesn’t look clean; instead, it contains some numbers and characters in the URL, which doesn’t tell us much about the content.

And by looking at it, we cannot determine the content.

So we have to make it look simple and easy to understand.

So head over to settings > Permalinks inside your WordPress dashboard.

After that, change Permalink from Plain to post name.

Permalinks Settings

Permalink is another name for the URL of your website.

After that, your website URL will look something like this:

https://yourwebsite.com/sample-post/

So this URL version looks better, more easily understandable, and more attractive than the plain one.

So change it Immediately after installing WordPress.

Update ping services

Ping services help a website’s post or a page to be indexed immediately after it’s published.

It notifies all the search engines whenever you publish new content.

So to update ping services, follow the below steps carefully.
